Artist Statement: "The story starts as the three brothers are on the run from hunters and trappers hot on their trail. They had nowhere to go until they came upon the village of the Eagle Clan. This was a clan that happened to revere the beaver for its ingenuity and its industrious way of life. Of course the Eagle Clan people took them into their village and their hearts. But hiding in the village might not be enough. This being the age of legends, the animals, sometimes, were able to transform, so the three beaver brothers disguised themselves as human beings. The hunters and trappers gave up their pursuit and moved on. The beavers and the people of the Eagle Clan, meanwhile, lived in unison. So this is how the beaver was adopted as the crest of the Eagle Clan. Thus, when you see a design of the eagle representing the Eagle Clan, more than likely the figure of the beaver will be included."
