Teddy (<i> Sapame </i>) Balangu ( Iatmul ) - Gaui and His Mother

Artist Statement: One of the highlights of Teddy's visit to Canada in 2006 was getting to know woods used by carvers here on the Northwest Coast. This piece is carved from red cedar and coloured with natural pigments brought from the Sepik River.
