Artist Statement: "This chief is a young man dressed in a blanket with a killerwhale design. The child in the killerwhale's fin represents my daughter. Raven's head forms the killerwhale's fin; two salmon curve up the chief's arms. With the eagle hat, these creatures show the chief's tribe and crests. The chief is in a feast, holding a copper that shows everyone that he has the right to speak for his home."
