John Marston ( Coast Salish ) - Welcoming Ceremony Paddle

Artist Statement: This paddle was used in the ceremony by Chemainus First Nation to welcome Palembei carver Teddy Balangu to Coast Salish territory in July of 2006. John and Teddy decided to donate it to our Sepik Chisel Fund that supplies Sepik carvers with high-quality tools they can't get in PNG.
