Artist Statement: This ia a portrait of my late mother Rachel Littlechild. All the photos I have are from the forties and fifties and I wanted her to look more traditional.

The only thing I ever touched that my mother touched, was a pillowcase with embroidered yellow flowers, that was at a cousin’s house.
