Artist Statement: I encountered an idea
that seemed to belong to no one,
left abandoned on a table
amid scraps of food
and discarded dishes.
Each morsel eaten,
every word spoken
became instantly a memory,
a bubble
together with a thousand other bubbles,
floating up,
bursting, erasing
themselves forever,
but leaving behind
a mist of dust, shadows
falling slowly
back to earth
to cover the footprints
that time left behind.
