Fah, is one of four children born to Hilda (née Scow) and Basil Ambers. In 1972, he was invited by Doug Cranmer to assist him in designing a carving program for young carvers.

Fah discovered that he enjoyed carving more than organizing. Doug Cranmer invited Fah to attend his classes and ultimately Fah assisted him with several major carving projects.

1984 Finning Tractor, Port Hardy, 32-ft. totem pole, assisted Doug Cranmer

1986 EXPO '86, Vancouver, BC. Assisted Doug Cranmer with the design of the Native Theatre in the Food Life Building. The dramatized story entitled the Spirit Word drew worldwide attention to the culture of the Northwest Coast peoples. This structure has since been relocated in Duncan at the Native Cultural Centre.

1991 U'Mista Cultural Centre, Assisted Doug Cranmer in building a 40-ft. canoe for the centre.
