Renowned for his imaginative carving style and original use of colour, Raymond is a leading artist in the Middle Sepik Region. Born in 1968, he has carved for 20 years and originally learned by studying the work of others in the rich carving environment of Palembei Village. Raymond's work can be found in collections in Australia, Canada, Germany and the United States. As the senior carver in the Dumoi family he has also served as a role model and mentor to his younger brothers.
