Stephen Hunt (b. 1962) is the son of Chief George Hunt and Mary Hunt (née Henderson). Stephen moved from Victoria to Fort Rupert Village on the Northeast coast of Vancouver Island in the early 1980's. In Fort Rupert, Stephen was taught to carve by his elder brother, George Hunt Jr. Stephen Hunt prefers to interpret his cultural heritage through wood carving. A broad range of art in this medium has been commissioned and exhibited.
