Carver/artist Merlin Robinson is a member of the Nisga'a Nation from the community of Laxgalts'ap. He is of the Wolf clan and belongs to the family house of Duuk.
Red cedar, yellow cedar, alder, and birch are types of wood he enjoys carving. His projects range from totem poles, masks, to bowls of all sizes. He completed a 25-ft Frog Family Pole, which was raised in Canyon City, BC, in 1996.
