Claytus Yambon is a senior master carver from Korogo Village. He was taught to carve by his grandfather's brother Uri, and represented Papua New Guinea at an International Carvers Exchange held in Victoria, BC in 1986. Claytus also plays a key role in the organization of Alcheringa Gallery's Sepik River expeditions and, along with his wife Esther, has created a warm and welcoming base in Korogo Village over many years.
