Junior (watkut) Connie

Junior Connie was born in Palembei Village in 1973. He learned to carve by watching the elders as his father had become a successful politician and had left the village.
His work shows strong influence from real events in the village, sometimes illustrating aspects of initiation ceremonies. Recently he has been inspired also by biblical stories.
