Robin is the eldest son of one of the most prominent malagan carvers in New Ireland, Ben Sisia. His grand conceptual sense and attention to detail prove his inheritance from generations of carvers. He was born in September, 1962, in Libba Village, where he's lived all his life. His father taught him to carve when he was a teenager. Robin has a young son who will apprentice in the family art when he gets older. [bio date: 2008]
