Doris Kinjun is a Gulnay Elder of the Tully River area. She is a language speaker, a story teller and a well known and respected weaver specializing in traditional forms and styles including the jawun, burrajingal, mindi and gundala. These are made from either lawyer cane or local grasses and were used to carry food, tools, babies, catching fish and processing food.
