Erich Glendale was born in Campbell River B.C. (1972) and now lives in Port Alberni B.C. He has been carving wood since 1990. In 2006 he began working with silver, gold and copper with the guidance of Nuu-chah-nulth artist Gordon Dick. Erich also started doing repoussé and chasing in 2009. In 2010 Erich helped Gordon Dick carve a 23 foot pole which was commissioned to commemorate the survivors of the Port Alberni residential school.
