Harry Bai, descended from generations of great artists, is the son of mastercarver Jack Bai and grandson of William Bai, also an artist of note. Long famed for their carvings of birds in the form of stylized hornbills, a number of Yamok artists in recent years have been reviving old forms for ceremonial use as well as artistic inspiration. His works are in American, Canadian and European collections.
