Details

People along the Sepik are looking forward to the extension of cell phone technology there soon, most likely from Jamaica-based provider Digicel. Since its arrival in 2006, the company has turned a huge section of the population into cell users by setting up lots of towers, making its phones and phone cards cheap, and licensing phone card sales to just about anyone, from roadside peanut vendors to big-name stores.
