Indian Foster Boy is a collaborative catalogue of George Littlechild's first major retrospective exhibition, held at Surrey Art Gallery in 1996. A collection of essays and poetry by friends and colleagues of Littlechild's punctuate the full-colour images. Introducing the multi-media installation, 'Dis-Place: The Sixties Scoop,' Littlechild has included his own commentary on the new piece, sharing his perspectives on colonization, racism, and heritage, which he so often addresses through his artwork. Meanwhile, progressive minds such as Maxine Pape and Amir Ali Alibhai contribute their voices to Littlechild's message with tributes to time spent with Littlechild and their perceptions of his work.
