"Tapuiondaua gave birth to a snake and named him Gunaua and a crocodile whom she called Paligaui. She sent the snake on land and the crocodile on water. When Tapuiondaua wanted to go to a 'singsing' in another village the snake would help to get there. When crossing rivers and barets the crocodile would take her."
-as told by Mastercarver Joseph Timbin in Palembei Village.
