Artist Statement: In Salish culture the sighting of a white raven means that great change is coming. I was inspired to do this print by the recent sightings of white ravens on Vancouver Island. I believe that if we do not change the way we have been treating the earth, the change that is coming could be irreversible. So in this print I have depicted a giant flock of white ravens rushing towards the moon, who is known as the protector of the earth. Although the moon is not in view on the print, its glow can be seen radiating from the top right corner.
