View more pieces by this artist. previous  ·  index  ·  next The village of Maramba, where Plasus Asapi lives, can be isolated from the main river- and hence the outside world and medical assistance- for months at a time, due to weeds that clog the mouth of the narrow channels leading into it. Plasus makes beautiful individual crutches, modelled on the standard commercial design, for injured neighbours.
