Artist Statement: Kudlukal is plural for Kudluk (Mourning Dove). Kudlukal are seen throughout the Islands of Zenadh Kes. They are a common source of food for hunters and gatherers in the bush. When a Kudluk is seen in the bush, it tells us that there is a open area with no trees nearby.
