ARTIST’S STATEMENT
As with ecological knowledge in general, and some of Susan Point’s works with frogs, many people consider frogs to be living indicators of the health of an ecosystem. Without succumbing to stereotypes that native people are Noble Savages or romantic stewards of the earth, I believe that the ecosystems in which frogs inHABIT, their HABITat, is being subjected to pollution and environmental destruction.
