A special exhibition of work available from an esteemed private collection. This small yet outstanding selection of masks includes works by prominent Northwest Coast artists Tim Paul, Wayne Young, Stan Bevan, Calvin Hunt and Tony Hunt Jr. The representation of six different cultural groups among the artists adds to the richness of the collection.

In many Northwest Coast cultures, winter is the time of year to gather for ceremony and celebration. Dancing is integral to these gatherings, and masks are integral to the dances. With this in mind, Alcheringa Gallery presents Winter Ceremonies: Masks of the Northwest Coast.
