INTRODUCTION ·  ARTIST'S WELCOME ·  IMAGE INDEX Apisasisin, which means "Little Things" in Cree, shows that smaller works of art can have powerful presence, magic, and whimsy. I have drawn on my Plains Cree heritage to share some of my favourite themes: the horse, transformation, and homage. Using antique postcards, we witness firsthand the lives of those who have passed on. Some of these postcards capture their lives eloquently and other images create stereotypes. As an artist, I have become historian, storyteller, educators, and role model, which are all important to me. I am honoured the Creator has chosen me to make the art I do.
