Artist's Statement
"I am a master carver from Kaminibit Village. I have been carving for forty years.
"This flute tells a story about a water spirit. When the spirit wants to go to the water
to find food, it transforms itself into a bird, then it dives into the water to fish."

NOTE: This style of flute is played to invoke the spirit's assistance in the construction of a new haus tambaran.
