Artist Statement:

Through the circle and square, this painting is a reflection on cosmograms. The circular design in the center is a spindle whorl, while the geometric triangles behind it symbolize coast salish weavings. These are symbols of wealth. In today's capitalist, consumer culture, modern humans should reflect more on the meaning of wealth.
