The raven is a bringer of light. My new collection titled ‘Emerging’ is all done on a black background. With all the loss in my life this past year, I have struggled to make sense of it all. My perception of the passing of family and friends had me stuck in darkness. I needed to come out of the darkness and come into the light.
These contemporary designs of the raven captures my emergence. I will continue to exist in darkness, because of who I am and where I come from, but I strive everyday to find that light.
