"I Am Creation" is a celebration of the role of women as channels between the natural and supernatural realms. One hand is extended in generosity and one hand remains at her side in caution. Her hair unfurls endlessly, uncut by grief. Four moons carry the weight of her influence as she sits in poised patience.
Inspired by an ancestral carved doll taken from Tla-o-qui-aht and now housed at the Museum of Natural History in New York. The original carving has a moving part in the belly that either shows a face peering out or appears blank.
