Artist Statement:
In the spirit of spindle whorls, this smALL painting depicts four hummingbirds flying around a sacRED flower and feeding on its nectar. The subtle circles around the hummingbirds are meant to evoke the light weight of hummingbirds in fLIGHT. This smALL painting is a tribute to the way in which even small beautiful hummingbirds complete an ecological circle.
