Details
"This contemporary Coast Salish design is a depiction of a Coast Salish guardian spirit dancer. The half mouth at the bottom of the design, represented by an elongated split u-form, is the mouth of the guardian spirit dancer. In the middle of the design is the eye of the guardian spirit dancer. This eye, symbolizing the vision of the dancer, is also the eye of an upside down face. The upside down face symbolizes the members of the Coast Salish community who assist the guardian spirit dancer in their initiation." -lessLIE
